Diecast Vehicles and Table Linens

I have never spoken much about it, but we have a large selection of diecast vehicles, from Dale Earnhart’s Indian by Franklin Mint, to some really neat Corgi and First Gear wreckers. If you like to talk full-size vintage American (or foreign) cars, I’ll wear your ear out. Just love them. For the ladies, we also have found some very neat old table cloths and table linens. Come look; you sure don’t have to buy anything, but we’ve got two porches to sit on and shoot the breeze.

Tips for Old Coins

I had an unusual situation today. An elderly gentleman (about my age) brought 7 gold coins to the shop. He asked me if I’d give him $30. for the lot. They were crusty dirty, and looked like junk. They turned out to be $20 gold pieces. As much as I wanted them for $30, I told him they were worth much more than that price. I called a reputable coin dealer in Charleston, and he said they were worth well over $1000. But, he said; don’t clean them up, it turns out that coins are worth much more if not cleaned up. Off the old guy goes to the coin dealer. Anyway, moral of the story is; don’t clean up your old coins as they’re more valuable in their original state.

Come see us: fish are bitin’ and the cotton is high. A new buy of several Sunbeam Mixmasters from the forties and fifties, perfect for a vintage kitchen. Please stop by and see us.

Hamilton Beach Milkshake Maker to NM

I just sold a Hamilton Beach milk shake maker to a gentleman in Ruidoso, New Mexico today. This was supposed to be in our kitchen, but I just sent it to NM. This was my last one, although I have a line on some of these fine Hamilton Beach makers near Charlotte. Write or call me if you are interested. They sell almost as soon as they arrive.

The weather here has suddenly become “southern-like” with temperatures reaching into the nineties. Perfect
time to visit McClellanville.

And, a hat’s off to Pete, owner and operator of T.W. Graham’s restaurant. His food is outstanding. Only 0pened Thursday through Saturday, with Sunday brunch.
